Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Well....

.....seems that avoiding chlorine bleach is what you MUST do if you want the spider to last.

As for load....fill 'er right to the top if you just want a wash and half way up the door if you want to do wash-dry in one cycle...

Now, as for the plastic doors...Just because it is plastic, doesn't make it bad/poor quality...the outer plastic piece in the inside of the 'dish' part of the door is to stop children and stupid adults from scalding themselves on the door-glass when the machine is drying - it gets VERY HOT...

As for detergent quantity...I would suggest using 1/2 the amount you would use in a Neptune which here is rated at 8 or 10kg....make sure it is the lowest sudsing, best quality powdered detergent you can find and AVOID chlorine bleach!!!

Timer problems

As someone mentioned the timer on here i thought i would mention it aswell. My mate bought that exact same model and hers last barely 4 months and the control board burned out, then the timer kept advancing. 4 Repairs in 12 months and it broke again with the same problem just after the warranty ran out. She used to use the dryer a lot with having 2 kids and maybe that contributed towards the control board burn out.

In the end i used the machine for parts for my indesit as the motor had burned out on it. good luck with the machine, maybe the one you have may be ok if its lasted this long

I am I little concerned about the control board, as when one of the relays are fired, the LEDs in the front dim. Tim did say that the timer does stick from time to time. Given the issues that others have posted about this machine, it may be best not to use it very often. There may come a time where I may really need to use this machine, before I can redesign the control board. Thanks guys for the advice on how much soap to use.
