We had an ariston dishwasher from that era that lasted 14 years and was still working when it was finally retired. I'd say it'd have gone on and on and on.. it never had the slightest problem with anything in its very long life.

The only downside to it was that it was a LOT noiser than the Bosch that replaced it. The bosch has had plenty of problems though and is no where near as reliable.

2 X replaced logic boards

and the detergent dispenser failed twice too and has had to be replaced.

and we had a minor leak when the gasket around the salt container loosened up and allowed water to run down into the base of the machine!!

Both logic board replacements were done under warranty.

It does an excellent job, but the controller panel / logic board seems to have been a dud design from the start.

I wouldn't be entirely convinced that I would want to buy a Bosch again...

ariston

yup,the half load buton flicked like a switch, they were a great washer, bearings gave the most bother with them, there are still a few around but the ones ive been finding latley are 8oospins with the induction motor or thor rebadges,il keep look out for ya for the 1200spin model,

thats the machin im talking about the one where the half load button flicks like a switch im not exactly sure if it was a 1200 or 800 spin it was 9 years ago but it was a great machine never gave an ounce of trouble. when i was a baby i broke the child lock on it so if someone pulled the handle while it was washing the door would swing open even after the door fell off it was still working perfect and probable still would if we still had it today, very reliable machine it did 5 washes a day for the best part of 8 years without a bother.
i would love to be able to get one.
ariston.....and on....and on, they weren't lying when they came up with that slogan.

other photos please
