Hi Steve. Thank you for the pictures of my old unimatic which is now Bethann's unimatic but there are plenty more machines in Roger, Nate's, and my collection, not to mention the beautiful Arizona scenery. Look forward to seeing you next month.

Hi steve, yes we do have some new machines. Meantime electrical work still being done in my garage to increase amperage. Have not had electricity there for a week to use my machines. Going through withdrawal symptoms.

I'd love to come but will be in Chicago attending the KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industrial Show) from April 18th to april 24th.I go every year and enjoy seeing all the new products comming out to sell! From going to the anual Builder's Show a few weeks ago and seeing a preview of some new Whirlpool and LG washers, dryers, ranges and dishwashers.I am sure I will be excited being able to see a broader more precise picture of what is to come in new appliances.

I'd love to meet all y'all but I would be so intimidated by what everyone knows and what they've done.

Ya know, I love me some vintage appliances but I'm just a little old boy from the south, transplanted from the midwest, borned in the east with a vast knowledge of everything dishwasher!!

Ralph........

you should go.....I went to the convention in Omaha. These guys made me feel so welcome. It was truly a GREAT experience. Great group of people here. <p> A fellow southern boy. Tom

Said: I'd love to meet all y'all but I would be so intimidated by what everyone knows and what they've done.

When I went to the convention:

1- I had never been west of the Mississippi
2- I have not made my own travel plans in 14 years.
3- I had not traveled (that far) alone.
4- I knew very few people in the club, and was terrified I'd confuse real names, screen names and e-mail addresses.
5- I really had a slight fear in middle America that I'd be singled out and harassed because of, well you know. -NONSENSE.
5- I was terrified I'd make a fool of myself. I did, and that was the best part!

Many of us in the club have a liking for washing machines. Some like me are not all that well versed.

I think I speak for everyone --
We all have a common thread runnign through us.
Many of us have another common thread running through us.

But here comes the biggest truth you will ever hear.
There is VERY much love, and respect, and concern and family spirit. The bonds are instant and real.

Peace out.

count me in ...

after unfortunately missing the extravaganza at GregN's last year, I won't miss this one ...... I am looking at flights now and booking my hotel. Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing beautiful Tucson.

I can't attend Tuscon. As mentioned in another thread discussing this gathering, I can't do a trip on an end-of-month weekend. *Maybe* if 3/31 was on Sunday and I was back that evening, but no way with it on Friday. I have tasks to do that are time/date sensitive.

I will, of course, be eagerly anticipating pics, videos, and stories!

:(

I did expect that you wouldn't be able to leave on an end-of-month weekend, but that just means ANOTHER good reason to drive to EC again...or for you to come out to Bellville for a mini wash-in when(ever) the Dispensall is finished and in the Studio!! Who knows, maybe some more surprises by then...

Ralph, I agree, you've got to go! In 2001 I came over from Europe for my first convention. I had never seen a working American toploader and the knowledge I had of those machines came from the club members and from the internet. It was one of the greatest experiences in my life. Never felt intimidated, just very welcome.

I have some training to do in Phoenix around that time so I am trying adjust my project plan to do the training the last week of March and the first week of April. I could just spend the weekend in AZ as compared to coming home. Gee, I wonder what I could do over that weekend for fun? Any suggestions?

Now I gotta see what the husband thinks. He barely survives a week when I'm gone he'd probably be in a mental hospital by the end of two weeks.
