The twins arrived at 10:45 am here in Southern MD- I have examined them & am very satisfied with the condition of both machines-They both look like thay have been in a basement most of their lives, & probably saw moderate to heavey use- the boot is original, & is starting to split at the seam-it has a new style pump, ( with lots of screws!!) but has the older metal drive wheel on it.The outer tub shaft seals look like they started to leak cause of the soap residue spray marks in the cabinet, along with the rusted pullies, but the shaft bearings do not feel loose, & the tub turns freely & easily, with no play - the right corner of the cabinet has split where it joins the toe-plate, probably from a little rust, but I think it was split in the move-this machine does not have the off balance pressure switch on the snubber plate like Jon-Charles' machines do,(& my L100, & L102) it has the ANTI-BUMP lever, (that won't work until the washer is crashing all over the place)which kicks out the timer dial to stop it- Westinghouse refered to this as PREMATURE STOPPAGE, which "usually occurs at the beginning of the spin period" The dryer looks good, but must have been run alot, the heater box is all discoloured- & the shaft bearings on this guy are verrrry stiff-& the timer dial is broken- & I am SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!! Now I have to move the L102 out to the garage, & make some minor other adjustments to the kitchen so they can come inside & play!!!!AAAAAACCCCKKK!!!!

Congrats on the new set!! Sounds like you'll have some work to do on them, but what vintage machine doesn't need a little something?!

I have a box of Westy dials, can you photo what you need? I'll be happy to send you one if I have it.

Keep us posted on the restoration progress. Greg

Congratulations and good luck...you'll be splashing away in no time...and with exceptional sand disposal!!

I'm glad that they were "basement machines"...a back porch wouldn't have been too kind, especially in that heat! Are these identical models to Jon's?

Robert, congratulations!! Two sets come to member hands at the same time. And yes Austin, I am 99% sure these are the same as Jon Charles'.

And Rober, oh how I remember the anti-bump (bobby runs terrified to den from laundry room)
