Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

From the near hysteria about stinking clothes as seen in the ads on TV, "washing" clothing in cold water and poor detergents is not a rip-roaring success and modifications, whether by beefing up detergents by adding perfuming agents are being tried so you might be onto something, Barry.

"Given their lackluster reputation and poor cleaning results I think I’ll wait for some professional rating agencies to evaluate it’s effectiveness before I waste even a dollar on this product."

Agreed

Interesting they made this development. I’ll bet it’s formulated for cooler water temps. I’m holding off until it’s reviewed as well. I do like the clean burst scent though. Think I saw the new bottles at Dollar General, where I buy most of my paper products and cleaning supplies.

I do like their free & clear liquid detergent, thought I had good results with them just recently. I also did liked one of their powder detergents, don't remember which one but it definitely did the job from my experience.

A&M Free and Clear liquid

Gets my vote as well.

Good for lightly soiled laundry such as bed linens. If anything more is required one has a vast arsenal of boosters, oxygen bleaches, bluing and so forth to juice things up.

What one likes about the stuff is it is remarkably low foaming. This is a plus when doing terry cloth laundry such as towels and wash cloths.

Curiosity killed the cat and couldn’t resist trying a small bottle. The formula has been changed and it did indeed clean better on some tough stains. I tested it on grass, marinara sauce and results were fairly respectable. I did have a black mold stain that was still visible but lightened considerably. Washed some whites and though I felt they were cleaner, they came out slightly yellowy after they dried. I’m wondering about optical brighteners.
The scent is much, much lighter. After the clothes were dried there wasn’t much scent at all. As someone previously posted on another thread, the original scent reminded them of the smell of a clean arse…..I did not find this to be the case. 😂 The clothes just smelled clean.
Sudsing was low also, better than the original formula.

I think all in all that it’s better but Persil orTide still cleans much better. Think All cleans better also. Don’t think it would be a bad detergent for someone on a budget or their clothes are not hugely dirty, office job.
That’s my 2 cents.

Go 'figya------

My roommate is an appliance repair tech. He wears the dark-blue Dickies slacks, and gets them absolutely filthy.
He swears by the Arm & Hammer liquid! He normally uses a tepid wash temperature and washes them in one of the 1-18's.

I never used it so I don't know of it's past history.
