Has anyone tried it? My impression is that while it dissolves and rinses away well, probably better than Tide Professional, and it creates lots of thick suds in a warm wash bath, it does not clean well. Stain removal is none existent, and it does not deodorize clothes at all. I feel like it is all show and no go. It works on removing grease but all the rest not so much. Over-all I don't think its worth it especially when you need to use a whole scoop to get semi descent cleaning results rendering the 73 loads claim pure advertising.

What have others experienced?

Excellent results for several years now. Works great on all staining and dirt suspension. Rinsing is much better than virtually anything I've used in the past. Scent is light to undetectable but the 806 is modified for its already superior rinsing. I'm on a water softener along with using a tempering valve so results are going to much different than normal and modern top load setups.

What's your water hardness rating? Incoming water temps at the fill flume for cold/warm/hot?

I haven't tried Tide Professional yet but don't require additional cleaning power.

Remember that Tide Professional powder requires a minimum of 90F water temps to function properly.

I don't know how hard my water is, but it is somewhere around the middle low end I'd guess. Water heater is set around 140, warm is about 100-70*F at the washer flume.

In my experience Tide pro works at 70*F very, very well.

I recommend you try Tide pro. You will get better results with less detergent. Tide Oxi is a waste of energy and money in my own experience.

Bob, tell me more. How do you dose? And in what machine. Tide Professional truly is the best, and coming from me who can find fault in any consumer product says something grand about Procter and Gamble.

Chet, it's my LG WM4200 5.0 cu. ft. front loader. I have somewhat hard water, don't know the hardness figures. I use a couple to 3 tsp of STPP at most for a large load, and use much less for smaller loads. I don't think I"ve ever used more than 1/3 of one of those detergent scoops for extremely full loads. For very heavy stains I might add just a very small amout of Biz powder. Loads washed in warm water typicall are washed on normal soil setting whichis a 15 minute wash phase. Hot washes have wash phase that ranges from 30 minutes to an hour, depends upon hot hot a temperature I want reached, which could be anywhere between 130F and 155F.

Ariel Oxi is similar, may be a bit ‘too much’ for some in the scent department, but like that ‘fresh clean smell’ when everything is all done.
