More about the Betty Crocker Mixer
There was a hidden bowl shift in the stand to shift between the large and small mixing bowls. The bearing of a Hamilton Beach model G juicer fits this mixer. The mix guide has the same suggested operations at a HB model G mixer also. The user guide for this mixer contained no recipes, it suggested finding recipes in Betty Crocker Recipe books. The guide contained information about mixer features, about procedures and suggested settings for mixing different types of cakes, about optional attachments, and maintenance & repair service.
Both beaters had metal bowl speed "buttons" on the bottom so which ever beater was closest to the side of the bowl, would cause the bowl to turn when the beaters were spinning. Unfortunately they also scratched metal bowls when used. The blades are extra heavy gauge too!
The Betty Crocker appliance designs were bought by Hamilton Beach. In 1956, the the Hamilton Beach model H incoporated the timer in the mixer stand.
