Asko Dishwasher Board?

One of my friends is a service tech an has run into an issue. He has a customer with an alder Asko Dishwasher and he needs the control board for it. The part number for the board is: 8188201R an it seems to be NLA. Do any of you know a source for one of these or know a place that will rebuild it? The model number of the dishwasher is: 001555.

He's already called PCBR, Corecentric, and Asko.

Any leads?

It probably will be cheaper

to just buy a new one on Ebay ... close out models or end of year rotation. I have three Asko dishwashers and I love them. The two outside ones are for parties .. I hate paper plates and plastic cutlery .. here it is all china and napkins for my party guest up to 75

Asko Usa is no help at all ... at least here in South Carolina there is virtually no service. But they are built to last .. I also have two Asko Washers one outside for catering needs and one inside. I do not think I could live with out one now because they wash so well

Poor service but great product as far as I am concerned ... You can usually pick one up for less than 600.00. One dryer board I got from them after screaming and yelling was 250.00

Just how old is the machine in question? How long does Asko keep parts around?

I would ASSUME then it is a DM-1555 model, perhaps similar to the DM-1502 series (touch-buttons, from around 1990). If I were you, try looking on the local craigslist for a machine that could be scrapped for parts, or a similar era machine whose control board could be "substituted" for the one in the broken machine. 

 

I hope your friend can resurrect it, the older Asko's are quite a treat these days

Found a source!

He found a source for the part. He's sending it to Fix Your Board.com and they said they will repair it. I don't know anything about them, but I hope they work out.

I have reported in several threads that I used FixYourBoard.com a couple years ago to repair my parents' Whirlpool wall oven board that is NLA.  Turnaround time was very quick (UPS tends to be one-day service within the state, even via ground).  I shipped the board on 3/22 (Tue).  They called on 3/24 (Thu) to take my ccard for payment.  The fixed board apparently arrived the next day 3/25 (Fri) or maybe 3/26 (Sat).  I deposited the reimbursement payment from my dad on 3/28 (Mon).
