They *should* reverse, at least in some cycles.

Asko was owned by Gorenje which in turn is now owned by Hisense (if I got that the right way around).
So, the modern Asko dryers that have a bedding cycle should reverse like the Gorenje ones.
I haven't used a Gorenjes Bedding cycle - but there might be a video somewhere?

I would guess that some other cycles reverse as well - the manual used to use the same text for the Shirts cycle that implied the reversing for the Beddings cycle.
I guess the upper end models with Bulky items cycles or such would reverse on such as well.
But most typical cycles (Cottons etc.) probably don't.

The UK version say's "adjusted drum rotation" which doesn't specifically say drum speed.
Same goes with the German versions.

In Gorenje machines, that specifically means they reverse.

Actually, the Australian system specifically states that they do

Well this is good timing, because I took delivery of a W2086/T208 set only a few days ago. While I haven't sat and watched them, I've already done about a dozen loads so far, and have made a few observations along the way.

The dryer does reverse. Without properly timing it, most cycles seem to reverse at intervals for roughly 15 seconds at a time. So far, no tangling, and everything comes out very evenly dry with minimal creasing.

The Bedding cycle reverses very frequently, I'd say on par with the equivalent cycle on Electrolux built dryers. The one load of bed linens I've done so far didn't ball up or tangle, and again came out perfectly.

Auto Normal Dry (the energy label cycle) doesn't reverse at all from what I've seen. The dryer does still have the Butterfly type paddles however, and I haven't had a single instance of tangling or balling yet.

Early days yet but I'm pleased with them. I've always wanted an Asko set, and the current pricing (GBP £449 each!) was too good to pass up.
