my local damaged goods store has a lightly damaged asko t712c dryer for sale
tiny by american standards,it is made in sweden and looks and feels to be
very high quality-store tag says original price was around $1500,but they
are asking$600 for it with the edge of the control panel chipped and a small
dent. Looks like it is a 115v powered air-cooled condenser dryer.
Anyone have one of these or know anything about them?

ASKO 712C

Is it like this one??

the euro equivalent are good dryers, quiet compared to other condesnsers. quality excellent, uses a figure of 8 tumbling action, no reverse action, sensor dry programmes & timed dry options.

The fluff filter is in the door for easy access & the condenser unit & fan are accessible from the front lower panel for regular cleaning.

Condensers work best in cool rooms (steam will condense quicker) if overhot and used back to back then they slow down, if you have been used to a large US vented dryer then you will have longer dry times...

Heres my older version

sounds like an interesting little dryer-might have to look it over a little
closer and wait to see if the price drops...
My splendide combo matic 6100E (Antonio Merloni)runs as a water cooled condenser
in dryer mode-does a pretty good job but does take a while....
it's also quite loud as when the pump cycles with low water,a columb of
water surges up and down in the drainpipe and creates a "chugga-chugga-chugga"
sound
BTW when i first saw this dryer i thought it was a dishwasher until i opened
the door.IT is kind of a dark metallic gray color.

Good dryer

The T712C is a good dryer. I work with theese machines, and I can say that this is a piece of quality.

got it!

store was having a sale,so decided to buy the dryer;a few details.
-230v,2500w
-designed for 20yr service life-impressive!
-13LB rated capacity
-condenser snaps out for easy cleaning
-24",small and light,nearly portable
will give a further report after the technical examination and tryout...
might go down in the basement on"daily driver"row or out in the garage to
pair up with '77 24"KM BD used out there in the warm months.

good performance!

hooked up and tried the asko today-threw a usuall neptune load in it,and
running the standard 60min mode, load(including some jeans)came out bone dry!
Quite impressed with this little dryer!
