At long last, I got my 806's!!!

In addition to all the festivities at Tarantula Arms, we also had three departures from "Ida's Home for Wayward Vintage Appliances" namely my Maytag A806 set I bought from Fred last year, and my DG608 dryer, stored at Fred's since last year.
Destination: Michael's basement.
Here is the washer in Fred's basement, this past Thursday night

and now on the truck Saturday

ready for their trek to Michael's

which needs to be checked over/cleaned out before going into use

the 806 washer will be piggy-backed off the hookups for Michael's shredmore washer

goes here for now, til we can get a 220V outlet installed

awaits cleaning here... someday soon it will be re-united with its mate, the A608 washer I have here

and now back to our regularly scheduled program

Sunday morning... after two trips to Menards and one to Ace hardware, we finally get the hoses loosened off the water hookups and install the "Y"s for the water supply. Both washers get new flood-proof braided SS hoses.

Michael tightens everything securely

now its time

to put the washer in place and see what she does... we have LIGHTS!!!

and we have fill action!!!

No leaks either!

we also pulled out Michael's dryer...

and found the vent hose to be in this condition...

Back to Menard's we go AGAIN!

All finished... for now

New fill hoses on the washers, new venting for the dryer. Everything leveled and working as it should.

This is only the beginning...
