Question for Rich (trainguy). Are you a model railroader, train nut or work on the r.r.. ? Just asking since I'm a train nut and now retired r.r. er.

I started collecting trains in 1973. I opened a hobby shop in 1975 and had it until 1983. It certainly helped with college tuition. I was only open during the Holiday Season. My specialty was Lionel 1959-1960 perforated boxes and set boxes. I've sold off a good amount over the years, but still have around 2500 pieces of rolling stock and boxes left. No room for a layout - the Frigidaires take up too much space.

Oh that's too bad about not having enough room for a layout. I'm not a model train collector and only have my set from being a kid but I attend the yearly Supertrain model rr. show here each spring and we have a good model train store in town I like to browse around. Now that I do have plenty of room I can never decide what I want LOL. They always have a mega Lionel layout set up during the show along with all the other gauges and clubs competing. #1 gauge garden railway really strikes me as fun but our season here is so short and the thoughts of me out there trimming grass and weeds from around the track I don't think it's gonna happen.
