I'm thinning the herd and before these go on ebay I'm offering them here. I know there are a lot VCCC members and other vac enthusiasts. I can probably do better on ebay for profit, but those of us that have been collecting for a long time try to keep prices down by offering first through the newsletter or via the email tree.

Since Robert has stated that he does not mind if we are selling items to post here, I am taking advantage of his generousity.

If interested, please email for price. I'm selling first come, first serve. Each vacuum is $65. The shipping for either vacuum is a flat rate of $15.00 for FedEx 2 business days.

Hoover hood

This is model convertible Special 31 with the switch on the handle bail. It was the first convertible special. It was the budget version with a half bumper, shorter cord, no headlight and snap closed outer bag versus the zipper on the deluze models.

There is some visable warping of the hood which was typical of this model until the "recipe" for the plastic was improved.

Rear ends

The vacuums showing the lovely backsides. The snaps visable on the Hoover and the zipper on the Royal. The front of the Royal bag has some fading of the name due to being machine washed, (inside out), after I got the vacuum.

i had a 6amp royal much like this one. IMO one of the best Royals, and one of the best traditional uprights.

I have a 31 in my collection, and can highly recommend the Royal as a fine cleaner. I have one that I use for my everyday cleaning, very similar to this one. It's great!

Both gorgeous...

2 dream vacuums there! Very nice! That 31 makes me melt, and that Royal is my favorite model! So shiny too!

Maybe I should have started a new thread for this question but what the heck. Have any of you vacuum collectors heard of the Shetland brand of floor polisher/cleaners. My wife & I were at an estate sale this morning and they had one in the box with all the manuals as far as I could see. I didn't look at it too closely as it wasn't what I was interested in.
