Help Support :

The New Site is Open!

Yes, indeed, the new Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Club site is open for business. Thanks to Robert for all his help in getting this going and agreeing to share his knowledge, creativity and friendship in developing the new site. Thanks also to our own Maggie Hamiltion, Charles Richard Lester the webmaster emeritus of VACCC.com our old website. He was the pioneer for us vacuum nuts and for that we will always be grateful.

So come on down and join us. We hope to have as much fun on Vacuumland as we have had here. And that reminds me, thanks to all the folks here for hosting us before the new site. We feel that we have made many wonderful friends and all of us will now enjoy both sites!

YAY for Vacuumland

Come on over to Vacuumland and enjoy everyone! Its been so great having the vacuum contingent over here in the Super Forum and now we have a sister website!

From this point on all new vacuum cleaner posts should be posted over in the appropriate forum at Vacuumland, thanks everyone.

YAY! I just now signed up; haven't started posting pictures yet but I will!

Will also be sending in my VCCC form next week...

That is great Austin, I will be watching for it in the mail!! Welcome to the VCCC another great group of friends!! Terry

YAY, A site that truly sucks. Congratulations vac folks. I hope you won't completely desert us here at applianceville now that you have your own site!!

I'm sad!

I feel silly but i'm actually kind of sad! Applianceville welcomed us with open arms and now it seems we are going away to college or starting a new job and we won't be with ours friends anymore! I have been to the new site and it is Fabulous!!!! After posting here for a few months, the new site feels very familiar and comfortable to use. Thanks in big part to Robert and the website committee on the VCCC. They did such a great job! I'll still visit Applianceville. There are some great people here! Marty

I went a lurking and..............

have already added it to my fav's. Will follow along. Seems like we will meet many more nice people. The site sure is user friendly, like this one. Robert I know the Vacuum enthusiasts are Thankful for YOUR time and effort, they have a fantastic new forum. CONGRATULATIONS. arthur

Congratulations Vacuum Guys!!

I looked the new site over and it just rocks! Love the funky colours too. Reminds me of the 1960's Hoovers. Will have to post some photos of my Premier Duplex sometime.
Robert you are so very creative! May you live to be 189 years old!!

Thanks Everyone, although I can’t take credit for all of the work done on the site, Fred Nelson, the webmaster of Vacuumland created many of the pages you are seeing at Vacuumland. Fred Stachnik designed and created the fabulous and fun morphing vacuums animation you see on the Home Page. It was Jeff Parker's idea to use the Hoover Dial-a-Matic Dial for the Discuss-o-Vac Forum logos and Charlie Watrous helped pick the new fonts to use. The wonderful VCCC logo was designed by Charles Richard Lester. The Website was tested by Fred Nelson, Jeff Parker, Charlie Watrous, Fred Stachnick, Morgan Frazer, Greg Nunn, Terry Lattz and myself.

A big applause goes out to everyone involved to get Vacuumland off the Ground!

Absolutely Tim everyone is welcome to post at Vacuumland, it is open to the public. But if you like vacuums and/or have a vacuum collection of any sort then I do urge you guys and gals to print out the form and send in your membership dues and become a member. It is very inexpensive to join and become a member of the club. They have wonderful events such as a convention that is held in a large hotel in a different US city every year. It is so much easier for the Vacuum Club to do a convention because unlike washers, vacuum cleaners can be packed up and easily taken to any city. I so wish we could host a washer convention in a hotel, it would be so much easier to do, but even if we did move some machines into a hotel convention area, there would be no way to hook them up and enjoy them which is half the fun.
