I've regretfully decided to get rid of my 1967 Fluid Drive washer- have had no luck in fabricating a replacement hose, as I asked about in thread # 37543.
Thanks for the replies, and help offered, but sadly I don't have enough time to continue to attempt fixes, only to find that they haven't worked so I'm offering it on Ebay for a minimal price and loads of spares, to be picked up by the lucky buyer.
If you'd like to see the details, go to Ebay Australia, and look for item # 300655214567, or try the URL.
BTW, I've bought a new Simpson 5.5kg washer as a replacement, which is extremely light and flimsy in comparison to the FD, but I guess most modern machines are...
Yours regretfully, Alan.
