Auto pool cleaners

If you have a separate pump for the pool sweep, nothing else can touch a Polaris 280.

We have the Polaris 280 for our pool! It does a FABULOUS job! It is lovingly known to our family as Howard.

suction side cleaner

I have had a polaris # ??? was good but this pool has a vac line (like central vac) for a suction side cleaner. I have a G3 Baracuda that is in need to be replaced & was wondering if kreepy krawley would climb the walls better than this G3. I have been very pleased with the suction side cleaner without having to run a boaster pump for the cleaner like my old polaris. I was just wondering what your opinion was before I spend the $$ . Thanks for you time. Mike

The Kreepy Krauly easily gets stuck on steps, ladders and other obstacles, unless you add a Thruster attachment. Also, it has virtually no wall climbing ability.

the Pool Hustler and the Pool Tender

I once heard of the Pool Hustler and the Pool Tender in the real old Sears summer catalogs-the pool hustler floated on top of the pool water around the sides, and these long strands sprayed jet streams of water, and cleaned the pool, while the pool tender sat on the bottom of the pool-with the long strands that sprayed the jet streams of water also. Has anyone ever heard of these particular pool cleaners?

Irobot (The people who brought us the Rumba vacuum)also has a pool cleaner, the Verro. People seem to be happy with them and they DO climb the walls quite nicely. From what I hear even the cheapest model works great.
