AW Rules-The next rotation

I rotate my automatic washer every 6 months time is almost up. The highest ranking score wins. Thought it would be fun to see which machine gets the highest vote.

(1) 1979 1-18 Frigidaire Rollermatic
(2) 1976 A408 Maytag Automatic
(3) 1989 Magic Chef Automatic ( Norge built)

using currently?
I'd rotate them evenly so they wear rather equally. Of course the Maytag is the most durable, or is it the GM?
I pick the Frigidaire. I've not had an opportunity to use one.

Deductive Reasoning...

* The 1-18 is out because of ease of use with its tedious water adjustment to get good turnover.

* The Norge is out because of reliability.

This leaves my vote to be for the 'Tag.

It depends on whether you would mind having to rotate again in less than six months.  With a Norge-built washer, that length of time is kind of dicey.

The Only Great Vintage Machine Here Is The 1-18

While the A408 is probably the most reliable I would only use it as a last resort as the its performance is the worst of the group.

 

The Norge-Tag is good at washing, but other than that it just isn't a real Norge. Overall it is just too cheaply built and prone to early serious failures and RUST.

 

If you want to add a few really great TL washers to your group get a mid to late 90s higher end KA, KM or WP Direct Washer, and even more fun and better performance than any washer being discussed here a Calypso if you really want a washer you don't have to make excuses for.

I'd say the frigidaire my self.... The maytag is fun, but its something that should be left in the corner always hooked up and redy to work, when your others misbehave
