These photos show my 'Sigot' Arlee's creation in the far-rear corner of the back yard -- a tropical beach scene. He really got creative and resourceful in putting this together, using mostly "found" items from here and there.

The table and chairs are sections from a huge palm tree that the owner of the building cut down a couple of years ago. We were pretty upset about that as the tree was enormous and very shady, but he wanted it gone. I gave the gardeners a little extra cash to cut the largest end of the trunk into seat-sized sections, and those formed the genesis of Arlee's setting.

Then he put together a variety of potted plants - flowers and succulents, accented with rocks from the desert and shells from the sea.

Tiki torches and lanterns, two Tiki statues and sand from the beach finished it off.

Didn't he do a great job! These photos really don't do his handiwork justice; it's really very beautiful and a great place to sit and relax.

That looks to be a very pleasing

and tranquil space. The rocks look like they came from the
banks of the South Yuba here in Nevada County. Very nice
plantings in the blue container atop the big vase!

The rocks

came from Palm Springs! When you drive around in the desert out in the "boonies" away from downtown you see piles of these wonderful rocks about the size of basketballs all over the place. One day I stopped and picked up 7 of them. I had originally lined them up in a straight line along the edge of the back yard but Arlee "confiscated" them for his beach scene - not that I minded of course! :)

Great spot Charles!

Congraulations, nice work. Looks as though you may have got some inspiration from 'Tribal Council' scene off the Surviour series.
