Hello fellas, I'm a bit of a newbie here, but hope someone here can give me a bit of advice regarding My Hoover U6003 (which is pretty rare over here, by the way).
Basically, it only drives backwards. I've shone a torch underneath, and both clutch wheels do engage and turn, but the forward drive clutch won't turn the drive wheels.
I did have a look at the schematics on hescoinc, but they just have the drive unit as a whole component, which doesn't give me much of a clue what the problem is.
So before I take it to bits, I was wondering if anyone has come across this before? And more importantly, is it actually fixable, or are we talking stripped plastic gears, or worse?
Oh well, it's still a marvellous machine, even if I'll have to only drag it backwards whenever I use it to appreciate the Power Drive!
