Found on Kijiji : BAYCREST 'portable washer / spin dryer' (1970s?)
Bought it on Aug 27 2012. Paid $50 + a tip to the seller who graciously delivered the unit at my door!
A small plaque located at the bottom (rear side) of the unit mentions: ''electric washing machine -- 120V 60Hz 12Amperes -- The Hudson's Bay Company, Winnipeg, Manitoba''
Original Baycrest appliances seem to be very rare nowadays ...
This twin tub washer is almost exactly the same as the Hoover model 0517 or T1003 (though it is a very basic model without auto rinse, etc.)
Is it possible that the Hoover Company used to manufacture those under license for distribution in Canada under the Baycrest brand (?)
(pictured below is one of the famous 1970s Hoover 'compact washer' units)
