Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That's actually not a Lady K, but a 1976 to 1978 Kenmore 90 series. One version had a Penta-Swirl (a '901) and the '921 had the Dual-Action.

In 1979 the two outer switches were combined into one multi-function cycle selector switch.

COOL washer.

1976-77 #2 Kenmore....

Yep......

Gordon's correct. That's is NOT a 1976-77 Lady Kenmore (which had a black top on its panel). But that is a 1976-77 Kenmore Model 90 (which was the #2 Model behind the Lady Kenmore during that era).

@ Gordon:

Here's what I find interesting. Did they introduced a dryer for this washer during that same era, but did not display it in the Sears Catalog during that time?? I know they had one that was under the Lady Kenmore Dryer during that time that had a sharply less elaborate control panel that was often matched up with this washer. But I cannot help but to think that they also had a higher-end model dryer that was an obscure model during this era. It also had a more elaborate control panel than the model dryer that was displayed in the 1976 and 1977 Sears Catalogs (looked almost like the Lady Kenmore, except it had a wood painted top as opposed to the black one on the Lady Kenmore), except it did not have a lighted panel (but it did have lighted drum, didn't it).

I saw this dryer somewhere in this club before. I think that would've been a great dryer to match up with this washer.

That's a VERY COOL washer though.

Charles -

From what I can see in the WP catalog, there were actually FOUR 1976 90-series dryers under the Lady K dryer. There was a '901, a '911, a 921, a '931, and a '941. The 66941/76941 presumably being the Lady K. The 931 used the same "timer" (dryness setting knob) as the TOL, then the other three used varying mechanical timers. I am not certain what those dryers actually featured without consulting the catalogs.

There were no 1977 variation 90 series dryer models, and only one 1978 - a 68911 / 78911. Most of the '76 models likely held-over for a few years until the huge 1979 line debuted.
