Beatty 1939 Royal Visit Wringer Washer

Hello All,
I am new to the site, and am hoping that I can get a little information on a machine I have recently acquired. It is a Beatty, Green/Yellow enamel, Royal Visit, May 1939, Wringer Washer. It is a beautiful piece, that I originally bought for the unique colour, and enamel finish. Upon looking closer, I discovered that it is from the Royal Visit, and has a beautiful emblem with the date. I was very surprised, that when I plugged it in, it worked ... agitator, wringer and all!! I am trying to find any information on this, or a value, but can't find anything online about it. Help Please

I can't wait to see pictures! Do you know where the washer was made?
There was a big Beatty factory in Fergus, where my great uncle worked. The Wellington museum is inbetween Fergus and Elora, both are about 30 minutes from my house. I am sure the museum must have tons of stuff about The Beatty Brothers. I am heading down there soon. I will see if I can find any pictures or articles about your Royal Visit washer. The colours sound really nice too.
My aunt and uncle lived in Blind River when they were first married. With a new baby, grandma and her sister bought them a Beatty wringer for a gift.

RPMS ... Thank you so much for looking into this! The colours are beautiful on this, it needs some love, but I can do that. To be honest, I had picked this up to use as a lawn ornament. Then I realized what a unique piece it is ... it will not be seeing any part of my lawn I love it in Blind River. Beautiful country!!

took a film of the Royal Couple steaming through Lashburn SK, on the train that year.

so that is a Royal Visit model!!

Oh wow ... that's amazing! And yes, this is the Royal Visit model! I love the colours were what attracted me to it

Mrs French, who lived next door when I was growing up, had a washer that was very close to yours. Hers was dark green on light and had the same funky horns on top.
I would think this washer must be worth a few bucks? Just the knob/finial on top must be worthy of a keepsake?
Your washer looks in very good shape for the age. The rust doesn't look that bad.
I wonder how hard it would be to find a replacement rollers? I have 2 here, but they are from a later wringer made by GSW, that took over Beatty. You are more than welcome to them, but I think they might be too short?
I can't help but wonder about the Royal Visit washer? I wonder if one was presented to the Royal Couple or the Royal Household?
My Great Uncle Charlie work his whole life at Beatty's in Fergus. There is a very good chance he built, packaged, shipped or touched your washer.
My uncle was an OPP in Blind River and Wawa. I am not sure where he was, but he talked about the locals catching smelts, cutting the heads off and running them thru a wringer to press out the bones and guts.
I am fascinated by your wringer and want to know more. I will be in touch if I find out more.

That is so cool! Never would have thought there'd be a royal visit washer. I have a bunch of royal visit '39 stuff that was my grandmothers - a cork coaster, a tea tin (of course), obligatory tea cup, a program from the concert put on and a bunch of pictures when they were in Edmonton. I remember my mom telling me what a huge deal it was - she was in high school and all schools closed, everyone was lined up along the roads. First time a reigning monarch had been to Canada so the crowds went wild. Plus it was good planning on the monarchy's part - just a few months later and WW II started.

Thank you for sharing I have been searching online, to find anything to do with this washer, but can't find anything. I am going to contact the Museum on Monday, and see if they can direct me to a site. I will measure the rollers, RPMS, or better, try to take them out and get a picture. Then we will know better if the ones you have would fit. Thank you so much for the offer.
I have also seen a lot of Royal Visit pieces, but nothing like this one!! I'm feeling very lucky to have happened upon this ... and quite by mistake!
