Love that Pansonic! I have a Sunbeam blender - it's one of my favs.

I've never seen a Vornado blender, but here's some on ebay:

Oster Cyclomatic Fan here too

I have a vintage Cyclomatic just like the one already pictured. Cycle blending gives one greater control of texture when chopping. Great help to prevent over blending. Like the new ice chopping and milk shake blades too.

Phil, they sold those Oster commercial blenders at fairs and exhibitions where they would demonstrate them. They weren't cheap either.. We bought one at the PNE in Vancouver back in the 80's. Ours came with both a glass and a stainless steel jar

Sounds like Oster was trying to compete with Vita-Mix by doing fair demos.Watched a VM demo years back-was quite amazing what the rep could make the VM blender do-from soup to ice cream!Commercial blenders are made simple and durable so they will be reliaible and withstand constant use instead of intermittent use as residentual blenders are used for. Most commercial blenders see "bar" duty.I have an Oster "Bar" blender I bought years ago at all places----Sears!Its a nice, quiet, sturdy machine.Has the 32 ounce SS container. When you blend a drink with ice in it-you can tell the drink is mixed by sound.

Jetcone - those are great looking blenders - like that one to the right of the Panasonic Custom Deluxe .
I passed up a similar vintage commercial blender - maybe I missed out!!! - 1000 watts? My "heavy" is 970 watts vintage blender, but packed away, can't recall the brand.

Thanks for sharing - enjoy blender shows! :-)

Thanks!

I really enjoy blender shows, cooking demonstrations, V-slicer demonstrations, its my favorite part of the Home Shows but since the recession they have not been at them. I will try our State Fair this year in hopes.

This is the great thing about ebay, today you can get an Oster Commercial for a par price with the home models if you search long enough. A 1,000 watts is honkin power. We had the HB commercial units on my Bar well before the advent of  polycarbonate containers - they were all SS like mine above. The beauty of SS containers was you could time the blending perfectly for a frozen drink- once started when frost formed on the outside you knew the drink was perfect and ready to serve. I prefer the SS containers to this day, which is why I love my SS VM 3600 so much.

Blender motors are now in a horsepower-wattage race.Mainly between Blendtec and Vita-Mix.They are at 2200W for a Blendtec Titan(Have one-its a BRUTE)and Vita-Mix commercial machines-1800W-home VM machines are 1200-1400W
never seen a High wattage Oster until now.Usually they were pretty laid back.Have a couple VM 3600 machies-the SS monolith!Love how the base looks like a toaster.Good blenders!!-esp with the forward-reverse mixing action. When you F-R the machine at top speed--it leaps from the table!I also have a 4000 VM-last of the "monolith" toaster base machines.

Oster makes this VM looking blender. I'd almost guess that VM manufactures it for them.. Sears in Canada has them online and I saw them on the shelf at Target but not out of the box.

Saw those at the Wal Mart store here several weeks ago--Wanted to get one to try--but the display machine and stock DISAPPEARED!From looking at the display model-the machine is a low cost imitation of a VM-don't think VM made these machines. It would have been interesting to get one to try it-maybe you could call the Oster "Versa" blender the poor mans VM.The WM display now has several Ninja blenders instead-think the Oster one was better quality.Have a few Ninja machines--I am NOT impressed.

I finally got around to taking pictures of the blender. The condition was every bit as good as it looked in the pictures. I did a tiny amount of cleanup and put my glass jar on it. I look at it every time I go in the kitchen. :)
