Just saw this on Craigslist and think it may be one of the last belt-drive models? I asked the seller for a photo of the inside to be sure. If it’s belt-drive, I’m gonna try to get it! The “Magic Clean Filter” and “Super Wash” features lead me to believe it is not direct drive…any thoughts?

It’s a direct drive. Easy to service and repair, but can be a little harsh the fast short stroke agitation though it’s exasperated when over loaded or forgetting to use the correct water level. My biggest gripe with the direct drives is they never did a spray rinse or rinses on the first spin, the early direct drives and some of the TOL Kenmore elite washers in the 2000’s but most direct drives never had a spray rinse on the first spin.

Yes Todd that would be a late eighties direct drive washer. Glad to hear you’re already on the hunt for vintage machines at your new residence. Can’t wait to see what you bring home.

Yep DD model.  I bought the near TOL model as a gift for my mother in 1991 along with the matching electric dryer in almond.

I guess your shopping for appliances for your pricey new crib?   lol.  I'm curious what one finds on the island.  So many stereotypes I'm tempted with.
