Hi. I am looking for anyone who can help put me in touch with someone in the UK who want to buy or could help me sell this Bendix washer found in a cottage that my father in renovating. Any advice on contacts, age or value would be appreciated. The pictures were taken in a hurry and I can get better ones if needed.
Many thanks in advance.

Bendix

yeah these are very old, one of the first automatics to reach the UK. They're very heavy, I've moved one for someone and there is no way a courier will be willing to send it and you'll need a van, not even joking! The inlets will be imperial size and will need changing to be plumbed into a bog standard washer fitting....

....BUT it's deffo worth saving!

Given the age of that, it would have been rather unusual, at that time, to have an automatic washer.  Most Brits were still using twin-tubs into the 1960s.

The bendix bolt to concrete foundation has probably done a lot to preserve the ones found to date.  They were safe unless someone very industrious bought the house.
