And Some Very Old

Early wasing machines that one can safely assume belong right where they are, display items! *LOL*

Both the Maytag and Speed Queen wringers are interesting, but asking north of $400 is a bit steep, IMHO. So one sees it is not just CL advertisers and eBay sellers that believe they have struck gold when they come upon a wringer washer.

Only wayh wone would even consider paying that kind of money, is if the washer were mint NIB and came with a few extra parts, also MIB. Even then, would still try to haggle the price down.

Dan Morphy tends to have lofty ambitions when it comes to estimates. But, his auctions routinely have record-breaking prices. There was a time before he had the auction company when he only had the showcase group shop. He always had a lot of good goods there. Some of it was his, and other goods belonged to people who rented booths. The prices were generally high in both cases, but stuff did seem to sell. We even bought stuff there that we were able to turn over for good profit!

We'll see!

I really like the Sunny Suds and Cataract washers at the auction... looks-wise.

When a friend was a child, they had the 1900 Cataract Washer. Once the tub was filled with water, soap and clothes, the lid was closed and the motor turned on. It rocked the tub back and forth and the clothes slid from one end of the tub to the other over the ribbed bottom. I emailed her the listing for the machine.
