Blimey . Can see its already had a paint job.
Mmmm Personally i wouldn't but hey thats just me. if you have the time and the facilities to do the work go for it.

Hi Mark.

Well - never seen one of those before!

Here comes my usual question - whats the model number? :-)
Be good to know, in order to place it in the grand scheme of things.

Condition wise - its a bit yucky inside, but nothing a load of hot water wont sort out.

Outside - well, the 3236H from the school was a shocker, but that tidied up.

If I were you, I would give it a chance!
When you have a spare moment, get some paint stripper on the door and plinth cover and take it back to bare metal.
Sort the surface, undercoat and give it a few layers of appliance white or off white (modern appliance white can be a bit bright).
Quick facia clean and tend to the lid and I am sure it could be made to look very presentable.

I am sure you could work some magic!

Very interesting machine, smacks of an American kitchen Aid design, with that lower spray arm which continues up to the top spray arm. Fantastic timer dial.

well go for it if you can

if it is easy to get it working it would be satisfying to run through a few finish dishwasher cleaners to see if it starts to sparkle again ! i had a similar model and removed the door pannel and plinth and sanded and repainted it to match my kitchen but sold the machine on sadly

Many Happy Returns Mark!!!

Your dishwasher is very nice and all it needs is a power sanding down and a respray. I look at it and it reminds me of my Hoovermatic De Luxe 3314L when I got it. A sorry site...
