Had this exact dryer
I had this exact same dryer and sold it to a fellow club member because he had the matching washer. It was an excellent dryer and worth the $125.

Why do I get the feeling that this dryer was in a home where people smoked?
It looks kind of yellowed, unless it is a yellow appliance.

could have also had coal heat for a time too, I've found yellowed appliances in coal fired basements.

White Paint
None of my older machines have painted white metal sides that stay as pure white as the porcelain top, I've always figured it's a product of the aging paint. In this case, however, the close-up shots reveal lots of dirt and dust. Who knows.

When the paint is that old it yellows.My 57 kenmore looks like that.That is an awesome dryer didnt know someone had the matching washer would love pics of that.

I bought it - yay!
I actually already have the washer and dryer... but my dryer plastic emblem insert
is badly melted and I bought this one just for the emblem so I could complete my resto.
I will be reselling either the dryer that I just got or the one I have already once I put together one to keep.
The one that I sell will obviously be missing an emblem...but will be complete and functioning otherwise.
I frequently find folks locally in the DC area that buy incomplete appliances from me for props or stage productions.
If anyone thinks they want it when I am done - just let me know.
It will end up being listed for 200 on Craigslist - and 100 bucks or trade for anyone in the club.
