That was the exact machine my best friend's family had growing up. His father worked for a Firestone dealer so the whole house was full of Philco appliances - except the refrigerator - that was something called Blue Ribbon. At that time we were on septic tanks, and some houses on the street had worse drainage than others. In their case that washer almost never was used. I recall that they went to the laundromat every week. That washer was paired with the Westinghouse Custom Imperial Dryer with the square window and colored buttons. Don't know what ever happened - but many years later the parents moved to Florida and let one of the sons rent the house with his wife. They completely trashed the house so badly that when the parents finally sold it the realtor wouldn't even sit inside during the open house - yes I went in and it was worse than I could imagine, and in the basement was a 90's Kenmore set........
