Picked this up last night. Working when it was pulled. There seems to be a following for them, some of the older ones bring big dollars restored. This one is probably 1970, came from a private club.

I don't know anything about these, but it would seem to me to be a pre-1963 model as evidenced by the "Buffalo 13" origination rather than 14213. Buffalo 13 would have been pre-zip code (1963), wouldn't it?

I noticed that. Read that they only made these from the 30's to the late 50's, but then saw an ad from 1964.

But if it was on the internet you know it's true! LOL!
I don't know when they started using the 2-digit designation for sections of a city but that may give you a likely "not before" date.
Interesting- I was Buffalo 25 (14225, Cheektowaga) which was an Eastern suburb. 1 was on the West side of the city proper, but 01 was right next to it (south). I wonder how they came up with what number went where? Where I am in MA now, 01772, I'm surrounded by 01752 to the north, 01701 east, 01721 south, 01748 south, 01581 west, 01532 west. Odd!!

That's really neat looking. Had the round "can-like" styling that seems to be popular now-a-days in soft drink and energy drink branded coolers.
