The Whirlpool washer in Reply 2 appears to be a belt-drive machine. It's not a turquoise 1960s Kenmore but what makes it a crap pile?

I don't think it would have mattered WHAT else it was, he wanted the turquoise models, which is understandable.
Frankly, I wouldn't mind any of them, but this is about disappointment going down, in the big Motor city. I just hope guns don't become part of this story.

That's definitely a dirty trick on the part of the seller... And I can certainly understand the disappointment!!
Agreed, the ad should be flagged.
Miss L. Seller could have easily found an on-line picture of two machines that more closely match those she's trying to unload.

This is bad-you are not getting what you think.I wish there was a way to PREVENT you from copying and pasting someone elses pictures on EBay and other things.What she is trying to sell is allright-but don't try to make it something that it isn't.Another reason I stay out of EBay and Craigslist.Too many deceptive sellers!!!

The whole thing is miss leading. She listed that they are in excellent condition. She must need glasses too! Because I see rust at the bottom of the washer dings dents scratches all over and the chrome end cap is missing on the dryers control panel… condition should be poor/bad. I’m still angry about this whole thing.

If I saw the photo of an early/mid 60's KM set in turquoise, I sure as hell wouldn't expect to see an mid-80's WP pair in almond when I got there!

Sure these are probably still good machines for someone, but they would be "crap piles" to me if I'm expecting to see a KM pair (turquoise or not) that's 20 years older. Personally I really do NOT like the style of any top load Whirlpool after 1965 or so... so these 80's models are especially undesirable... to me.

I think she's got problems with weak floor joists, too.
I was thinking it was a young woman that inherited the set and just wanted them gone so she could get some BOL HE FL washer from Korea because it would save her money on the water bill. Oh well I will find a washer and dryer of my liking some place one day.
