Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Tom, you have to look at this way, If you get the Maytag Man for a repair, you're currently getting THE most experienced at making repairs. Not like the old days when he just sat there waiting for the phone to ring. LOL

Bill- Welcome to Toggle's evil gang. You are officially IN.

(PS if you REALLY want to have a *Depends* moment go read "Party at Pete's house. Imperial section - yellow
IMHO- No newbie should miss that one. If you thing it's funny now it was HOT HOT HOT live.)

Toggle, don't get your pearls in a sweat. I remember "The Par-tay" very well! I'm only sorry that I missed the deleted scenes from that flic. Saw the previews and then got busy with something, can't remember, but I could see what was coming. By the time I got back to my seat there was popcorn everywhere!
Looked like a night at "Rocky Horror".
It was after that I decided to aspire to the EG. Strength in numbers don't ya know!
My doctor says the incontinence should go away if I avoid over-excitement. We'll see!
Anyway, TYVM. I shall do my best to be worthy.
Now, if I can just get that New Maytag Man on the phone....

Re: Ol'Lonely:

Hey! Bill, welcome to the Appliance Club Site. "BTW" which "Ol'Lonely" are you referring about wanting to get on the Phone, the Younger one? I believe that almost everyone in the Club, would like to get his Number...

I actually found out what his real name is, several years ago, when I went to a "Grand-Opening" of a new Maytag Hands-On Store. It was the first one {at least on the West Coast} to have some of the Models of all Appliances operating and the Customers could bring in their Laundry, Dishes and even Recipe's to check out the ability of the Appliances, before making their decision of purchasing them.

Peace, Happy Laundry Days, Steve
SactoTeddyBear...

P.S. If anyone else wants too know the younger "Ol'Lonely's" name, you can E-Mail me. If anyone knows the "Ol'Lonely" that took Gordon Jump's place, I'm curious to know what his real name is, no one I've asked at the Maytag Stores knows for sure.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the welcome.
The ironic thing for me about Maytag is that they were the first machines I bought in my young adult days, 1975. We still had local appliance dealerships then, no big-box stores. The pair that I bought, if memory serves me, was a 406 washer and matching electric HOH dryer in avacado. This dealer also sold Frigidaire, had a poppy red set, and they were side by side in the store. The Maytag won only by a coin toss because I just couldn't decide. They were twenty five yrs old with no repairs, except belts, when the ex moved to Minnesota. Don't know what happened to them after that.
The second set that I bought was in 1999. Had just bought a house and I wanted the Neptunes, which were pretty new at the time. Got into the house and found that the dishwasher, old Caloric built-in, had a hole rusted thru. So had to re-think the budget. Ended up with the Frigidaire front loader and matching dryer, with a lighted stainless drum, and a new Kenmore dishwasher. Sears was in the process of phasing out the Frigidaire and bringing in their version. Got a great deal on all three. The w&d are now in my daughter's house still going strong with no repairs.
So I guess luck and fate were on my side. Must still be some residual since I'm here now.
Bill
