Bewitched!

I loved the kitchen and I remember being disappointed when they did the make over in later years. I wished they would have stuck with the Frigidaire appliances. I was hopeing Samantha would have got a 1/18 set instead of the Maytag set.

And now, many words from the sponsor:

They had a nice Maytag set in the rental digs(either coppertone or avocado, we'll never know which unless somebody can find a real color photo from the set), and a Whirlmore TL dishwasher that was featured prominently in the show's previews. Abner and Gladys Kravitz also had a swell Maytag set in the first/second season episode where Samantha convinces Gladys that she's the one with the supernatural powers.
I guess when Chevrolet/GM signed on as the major sponsor in the early days and everything had to be a Frigie.

Do any of you remember when Ken-L-Ration was their sponsor and they got Agnes Moorehead to turn herself into a poodle to sample the dog food? I'm sure Miss Moorehead enjoyed the extra money, but can you imagine an actor of her status today doing that?

I could be wrong...

I was watching an episode of Bewitched on TV LAND a few weeks back (it was the episode where Darren thought Sam used witchcraft to help him land a mattress company account). She told him she did not and made herself invisible to spite him. There was a breakfast scene where "the invisible Sam" was serving Tabitha juice, cereal, etc. It also showed her ironing shirts. I could swear I saw a harvest gold washer (most likely Maytag), but they did not show the control panel..I think there was a laundry basket on it, It was opposite the Maytag dryer, so it was on the right side of the kitchen door, but as I said, I could be wrong....

The rental kitchen

I will have you know that this thread had be watching five episodes in sucession tonight! So, the Maytag set in the rental kitchen were avocado, although the wall oven (dont know the make) was coppertone. The Maytag washer was the pushbutton version, the dryer centre dial. The (apparently portable) dishwasher was white. Well I suppose you cannot expect co-ordination in a rental property LOLOLOL

I noticed that the layout of controls on the Flair range was somewhat different to that of beautiful Flair that Dick in Palm Springs has. The BW version seems to have the clock on the left and controls centre & right with Dick's clock in the middle with controls either side. No matter, I would take either in a hearbeat had they ever been sold over here
