Just wanted to take this opportunity to publicly thank Jimmy for so graciously hosting at his home for the Hoover convention. There had to have been at least 100 people there at one point. Jimmy was a regular bon vivant--- making sure everyone got a chance to play with his "toys", and made sure that everyone was well fed and watered at all times. Great job Jimmy !!! It's rare that someone would go to all the trouble to host. We all appreciate it.

Thought you guys and gals might want to see a few pics of some of Jimmy's collection

Our proud host in front of his Kelvinator set holding his Fairy detergent from England. Everyone needs a little fairy in their life !

That was probably just one eigth of Jimmy's impressive collection. Hopefully, someday Jimmy will post pics of his entire collection for all to enjoy.

I too want to thank Jimmy for a great Saturday afternoon. He was a wonderful host and everyone enjoyed seeing his collections. I was amazed to see how it had grown since I was last there. Thanks Jimmy. Terry

Wow, Jimmy! Mid-50's spider-clutch Hotpoint washers are rare enough but to have the matching dryer is incredible. What year, 57? I think that was the first year the lid didn't have the chrome handle on it. That would also make it the last year of the infamous spider clutch trany I think. Those Norge time lines are real beauties too. I hope to see your collection sometime.

Jimmy's place is so palatial, it never seemed crowded ev

Thanks for getting proper shots of most of his machiines--what a ton of them he has. Did you see the perfectly preserved mint little Monitor hidden in the back room?

And thanks for the side-ear shot; don't think I've ever really seen my ear before. Not bad;'D

Wish I'd known

about the wash-in at Jimmy's. It looks like a fantastic collection. Some machines I've never seen before and some that I covet.

Love the Westy slant-fronts with the square windows.

Thanks for sharing the fun.

Yay Jimmy, thank you again for a wonderful time last Saturday. It was great to see your beautiful home and amazing collection again.

Very Nice Collection

Thanks for sharing those shots. The Norge Timeline set looks like they were just delivered from Montgomery Wards.

Cool Kevinator set too.

A wonderful time! Jimmy has a great and diversified collection and everything is displayed so nicely.
The autos were a wonderful treat.
Thanks Jimmy!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, IT WAS A PLEASURE>>>

Thanks Jim, for posting some of the pics and the note of gratitude. It certainly was a pleasure to host the wash in and I want to thank all for attending. I truely hope you had a good time........My collection was a lot of hard work and a lot of labor to both restore AND to keep up to date and running.....but the effort is always worth it. You all are welcome to come back anytime.......I think we should plan a WASHER CONVENTION and I would be glad to host!

A SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS to...........

Also, a special note of THANKS goes to my friends Mike from Long Beach and Gary from Indiana for coming a few days early and helping me set up for the party.........Putting on an event is a lot of work and I could not have done it myself. Thanks Mike and Gary!!!!!

My aunt in Manchester, CT had the exact same hotpoint with the gray tub and red agitator...I have fond childhood memories watching that machine in action.

Filter Flo

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for hosting the wash-in. I had a great vacation this year at Meadowbrook Hall and then with the vacuumland folks in Canton.

My pleasure to help. Looking forward to hosting you here in a couple weeks. I hear talk of a WCW (West Coast Wash-In) while you are here.

I still think we should have stenciled "Eperway" on the AMC.
