Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Of course I've heard of this product. As far as I know this was the first biological washing powder available in the Netherlands. At first it was only available in a high sudsing version, later a low sudsing version was introduced in a blue box "Biotex Blauw" for use in automatic washers. The original version was then packed in a green box "Biotex Groen" for hand wash and agitator/pulsator washers.

"Voorwas" is Dutch for pre-wash. It is best used for soaking.

As a child I found Biotex (in a silver box then) the best smelling detergent!

IIRC

Have seen it in the UK, and the stuff is a pre-wash or pre-soak product. Contains enzymes and such for removal of stains.

One assumes such products were found in the UK, due to so many detergents being "non-bio", thus not containing enzymes which are required to shift goo, poo, and other stains.

Enzyme prewash and presoak products were common in the United States, but again that was before most TOL and MOL detergents such as Tide began adding enzymes to all their formulas. Now only products such as All, Purex and a few other brands do not contain enzymes.

Hehe we used boitex for a long time here, when prewash was fashion! Well my mom never understood fully but I used and use it for my colores items. Persil universal for my whites. BIotex is around since somewhere in the 60ties. It's very big in the Netherlands. There is a green package that's specially for soaking and washing by hand (when you are on hollidays...)
To introduce there where songs I guess something about Rikkie, Tikkie and an other woman with ikkie...
