A product advertised on Australia's "Today Show," so this a bit like an infomercial.

This stuff contains (apparently) double the enzymes to get better results in a Quick-Wash.

Whilst I'm all shorter washes - I'm not all for the show advising people to use such a cycle regularly - since every machine that I've seen has just ONE rinse (And what if you use softener?), and typically a Wash that *maybe* gets to 40* (104*F) on their fastest cycle.

And yes - to be a tad more critical, I love how the demonstrator tells us that Quick-wash cycles might also be called "Rapid" or "Fast." Are people REALLY that dumb they need to be told the synonyms of quick?

Anyway - have it this demonstration.

For the record - I'm a pretty big fan of Bio-Zet powders, at least. They're very free-flowing, don't clump easily and have spectacular cleaning power at warm temperature.

However - I think this detergent *might* just be an enzyme/OBA based - since they suggest hot temperature will lessen results?

Bio-Zet

We are using Bio-Zet powder at the moment and like you have become a big fan of it, as you say, easy to pour, does not clump easily, does give really good results in warm water and does not create a mess when you open the box no powder stuck in between the layers of cardboard in the lid wasting powder.
Have seen the ad for the Quick wash formula, not too sure how that would go in the T.L.
Probably won't buy it for a while as we just got 2 bottles of liquid Fab which was on sale at Coles.
Will definitely buy Bio-Zet powder again though.
Steve.

I've always been a fan of Bio-Zet powder. It cleans well and has a light, soft fragrance unlike the vast majority of powders out there today.

Fragrance

If buying for that alone, this stuff is a real winner.

Duo "Linen Fresh," although being hopelessly loaded with bluing agents (Great for blue sheets!) also has a gentle, unobtrusive fragrance, in my opinion.

Duo Linen Fresh

We agree again Washer111,we have also used Duo Linen Fresh and agree with you on that one, have you ever tried the old Spree Linen Fresh?, quite similar fragrance to Duo and cleaning ability wasn't too bad either, mind you Spree seems to be hard to get these days, although I have noticed it in the local Foodworks supermarket near my work, hhmm might have to get some.
Spree also came in fresh apple and fresh lavender which was a very pleasant fragrance, unlike the Fab and Surf who these days seem to be boxes and bottles of air fresheners for your laundry, (might give the damn liquid Fab away to neighbours.and buy more Bio-Zet and Spree).

IIRC

We were using the Spree Linen variety when we got the Miele in late 2012. They still stock it at both our local supermarkets! (I too am tempted).

Used the Surf "Ylang-Yang & Lily" last year... Its potent stuff. Nowadays, if I hand around the detergent aisle too much, I start to get a headache from that Flowery/"Apple" pong coming my way!

Another thing about Duo is the plastic pouches it comes in. Yes - very bad for the environment. But then there is no issue with broken boxes, spillage or the detergent going bad in transit (esp. in tropical environments).

At least now I've another detergent to add to the "To Do" list.* I'll have to see if they have it in Front-Loader, otherwise, might have to do some Cold-Water laundering at the local laundromat (Cue blood-curdling screams).

*I've been hovering about Drive, Bio-Zet and Omo in between trying detergents. You may recall the thread after I *finally* exhausted the Planet-Ark No Enzyme, OBA, Frgrance, Bleach powder I used. Bio-Zet carried the freight - even on a shorter Delicates cycle at 40º!

My socks especially were no longer dingy and stained. True testament to the cleaning ability of modern products.
