Here are some pictures I snapped actually the day before my birthday last week. I have seen this type of cake at other people's homes a few times, but it was a first in my own experience. :-)

Also attached is a picture of a delightful fold-out card I received from Greg and Skyler.

Hope everyone is continuing to have a nice holiday period!

Re: Happy Birthday, scott55405

Hi! Scott, "Happy Birthday" I agree with everyone else, you really fooled everyone with your comment, before our checking out the Cake Photo's.

Anyway, I hope that your Birthday Wishes come true and that you had a wonderful, special Birthday celebration.

I've seen my Mother's older Kenmore Washer do quite an oversudzing, but not into a round shape like your Frigidaire did. It was on her Mid-1950's Kenmore and the 1968 Lady-K with the Matched Electric Dryer. She did also have a 1966 WCDK Custom Deluxe Frigidaire Washer, that did an almost Round Cake-Top of Sudzing up like your's, but it must not have had quite as much Detergent in the Laundry being washed. It was also the only Washer that did as with yours of coming out with the Rinse Water being quite clear, even after the Spinning and Spray Rinse of the Frigidaire, over the Kenmore's Rinse Water still being somewhat Sudzy.

Peace and Happiness, Steve

That's right Bob, and dazzling they were! It was a load of white tablecloths and cloth napkins my roommate had used for a dinner party.

Thanks for the birthday wishes Steve! I think a lot of variables go into it, like the amount of detergent, what detergent, how much you have in the machine, and etc. I rarely even get any foaming, much less like this, so it was fun and I'm glad it hit me to grab the camera.

Had your parents moved when they got their new Kenmore set? I would otherwise be surprised that her 1966 Frigidaire would have lasted only 2 years. I do love the Lady Ks of that era though too, most definitely.

Happy New Year! Scott

Re: Frigidaire/Kenmore Answer to scott55405

Hi! Scott, the Frigidaire Washer did in fact still work, even if only using it for 2-years. No, we were still in the same house. The reason for the short time of using the Frigidaire Washer and with the transition was because of my going all too many times around to the various Stores and checking out the new Model's and seeing all the neat features on the Kenmore. The "POD" Sears-Best is "BTW" that very exact Model of the Lady-K's that I bought for my Parent's to replace the Frigidaire Washer with. They had a 1962 Hotpoint Electric Dryer, before I bought the Lady-K's. I bought them in the Copper-Tone Color and actually the Dryer had to be ordered, because they had just brought out a newer version that had the Timer and Wrinkle-Guard feature, that the original Matching Dryer only had all Electronic Drying. If you look at the Console of that Lady-K Washer, see the smaller Knob to the right of the Timer? That is the Water Level Switch. On the original Matcing Dryer, that same Knob was the handle for setting the degree of Dryness on the "Control" Dial. On the Dryer that I bought, that Knob was an On/Off Switch for the Wrinkle-Guard Selection. The Matched Dryer Console also had a full White/Plastic area, where the Washer has the Push-Button's for selecting the Cycles and Option's.

I helped my Mother quite a lot with Cooking and doing Laundry, because when my Brother and I were growing up, both of our Parent's were working, so it help them to get other things done that I love to do anyway. I hope that this helps with wondering why the short time of using the Frigidaire. OH! If I only had it and the 1968 Kenmore's now, they would still be operating like new.

Peace and Happiness, Steve
