There is a pink blackstone wringer washer for sale in my area, ($175.00) and I have a chance to buy it. However, I do not know alot about the brand of Blackstone. I have a Maytag wringer, and an GE wringer, but this pink one looks kinda tempting!! Any info on this machine would be appreciated! Thanks!

1960s

Newer-style Blackstone wringer, possibly the 1960s, judging by the diamond logo. We were former Blackstone dealers, and I can honestly say that I have never seen one of these models, and never seen anything in pink. Is it original color, or repainted? If I had model number, perhaps I could look up info on it.

Go for it, Man!

It's beautiful, and we have no known Blackstone Conventionals in the club. I saw one once in an appliance store, agitating, and it was a really brisk stroke.

Go for it!!!

Thats like the one I had for a short time years ago... only in white. Beautiful machine. I always thought the straight vane agitator was a little small but it washed very well.

Pink inside and outside--Can't wait.

The Blackstone agitator I saw working was a small one as Lyle's was. I wish Mike would post pics, if possible of his Blacky. Thrilled to know someone has one, and now we have two. Last year a visitor brought us pix of the model whose unique and heretofore unobserved agitator is pictured below. Another guy in another thread asked to see this, but I can't find him. This should suffice if he's a regular reader here.

Also noteworthy, V V, is the existence of a Blackstone Ephemera that has the never-yet-discovered-in-the-field Rinsing Wringer. This machine's rinse valve also doubles as a fill valve and with the flip of a switch, you can fill the tub with a good stream of water "magically" pouring in from under the wringer. Oh, if we could ever find one of those! The only other manufactured Rinsing Wringer was by Whirlpool and theirs did not have the fill function.

Presto-Change/o, THIRTY MODELS ! and Dudes, too.

How cool is that. Always liked the agitator control on the column; not too many did it that way, and the longer hose for easier reach and drain place flexibility.

You know Fred, I'm looking at the clothing & shoes of the engineer/salesmen, and pre-Beatles comes to mind. You must be right about the date of the machine.

This is really satisfying stuff for Wringer Dudes. Thanks.
