This is the blender they show on the "counter" area between the fresh food section and the roll out freezer in the GE Americana Refrigerator. The area is not tall enough for a blender with the motor under the container. The blades do not remove from the jar for cleaning or removing certain blended items. I have two models of this: this two speed and the chrome plated one with 7 speeds.

I too have that blender

Ours is 1963. Used it for gram until she died in 1966. Four billion milkshakes later and one near-amputation of my cousin's fingers - the thing still works. I still have it. Currently am using a 1950's Oster Electro-Blend bar blender that could mix cement in its sleep.

Today I have the VitaMix "XL" 1.5Gal blender which is like that GE one on steriods. The VM machine also has a half gal container-I use this the most. The blades in either jar are almost big enough to propel a ship!VM should start a "Will It blend" starring this monster! It is fun to use.
