Who makes the dryer with the strongest air flow? I hate to say it, but I noticed that neighbors' Whirlpools blow the hardest out of the vent and that's got to be good. I am very disappointed by the blower power on the Poppy 1-18 I just got; very lethargic although the dryer kicks out a lot of heat.

Miele's super capacity dryers T9800 / T9820 apparently have very powerful blowers.

Some Maytag dryers have new blowers claiming to vent up to 100 ft. GE claims the Harmony dryer vents up to 150 ft.

The length and thickness of the pipe is a factor as to rating performance as well. As is, of course, how clean one keeps it.

There are instances when it is certainly tempting to think it does.

A good powerful blower gets the job done well and done quick.

I would have bought a gas GE Harmony dryer already, which to me is perfect in every way except for that stupid slanted top. What dimwitted designer thought that was a good idea? And aren't those manufactured by LG or is it the other way around?

GE Harmony

The Harmony Dryer has an independent motor for blower operation. I wonder why this hasn't taken off in the clothes dryer market. Only a few manufacturer's have split systems like this.

In "Ye Olde Days" one motor was considered more reliable than multiple motors.

Today this mentality is is slowly melting away.

Both Miele and AEG/Electrolux have two motors in their heat-pump dryers: one for the blower and the other one to turn the drum at normal or slow speed - to dry fragile items like wool and silk.

Anyone know how powerful that new 8 cu.ft. Electrolux is?

Huebsch has recently adopted the dual-motor dryer, as does the Wascomats with the reverse tumble.

positive pressure is better when blowing than merely sucking.

At least, Westy Slant-Fronts were built that way.
