Navigating through the threads, "Bob Loads" pops up often, first in the wasing machine entires, which was quite a hoot, but now I find him in some dishwasher threads too. Who is Bob? Just how big is a bobload? Is this the same giant Bob with the huge "pectorals" from the film "Fight Club" with its crazy Project Mayhem. "In death we have a name. His name is Bob."

My Aunt Dolores could stuff her pulsamatic with about 30 pounds of white wash and still have it come out clean. I'd love to arrange a wash-off between Bob and Dolores; alas Dolores has gone to Frigidaire heaven. Where is Bob? I'm too new to know, wash happy only three weeks in this paradise.

If interested, please read the Pulsator thread message I left the other day.
Have a great Saturday afternoon everyone. I'm off to find a spiral-vaned Activator for my GE WWA8420NJLWH. Later!

From what I've seen, a Bob-load is a single load of laundry usually larger than 18 lbs. This technique was invented and first demonstrated by our very own Bob/Appnut, who washes many large loads of laundry in his DD Kenmore during one "session".

Even though we generate a ton of laundry and wash 12-14 loads per week here, none of them qualify for a Bob-load. I load lightly to provide good turnover and don't mind using a lot of water. Preserves the life of my machines...LOL

I am he. My Bob lloads are not overstuffed, maybe challenge a machine at its maximum. Like the 1-18 load that I did of some of my towels at austin's at the Texas wash-in. I have lots of clothes and linens and save everything until I run out.

As for dishwasher loads, I'll have to find some pix of my dishwasher loaded to the gills. I don't pre-rinse and have been known to be creative with loading my 1987 GE PotScrubber and everything comes out clean!!! Somehow I was christened with this nickname, maybe cuz of a huge laundry weekend in which I had taken some pix of all the loads sorted throughout my kitchen floor. I'll be doing at least 6 loads tomorrow, maybe one or two more. 11 loads in a weekend isn't uncommon.

It's so cool to be talking to a Texan. First in my life way up here on Lake Erie;
Are there any pics available on the site-- of the Bobloads. Nice to meet ya, Man.

Thanks. All the way from the Netherlands. Unbelievable.

Bob's got a cool dispute going on in DELUXE Tale of Two Whirlpools, claiming not to overload. From your pics, the loads look fine except that Towel load, image 08.
Now that's a Bobload and as Hannibal Lecter might say: "It was quite something, Clarice."

Wow! Although I was familiar with the 'Bob' terms, I'd never seen the above pictures before. Thanks for posting them again.

And Bob, I love how you load the dishwasher....and don't pre-rinse. We are on the same track in that department, LOL.

Hi mickeyd! I thought we'd lost you after your initial Hunter S. Thompson-esque posts from a couple of weeks ago. Good to see you're back.

Also go see in member's links the link "DADoES visit to Appnut's house 12/29/2001. Has moer dishwasher load pics, one in particular Venus couldn't believe.

Thank you Luigi.

MickeyD, that "Towel load" has now evloved into two loads with a couple of additional towels that came into the house. Incidentally, my towel's "fluffyness" has thinned out and many of my towel loads can now be done on 3/4 to .8 of a full water level. I still sort them by color types. In fact, that load done in the 1/18 at Austin's is actually 2 loads in my machihne because of the color content. And on the DADoES visits ... link, there's a pic of a pair of jeans ripped on the backside -- came from the wash like that. Definitely not when I put them in there. I onlyu put 4 pairs of my jeans in a load.

He! He! Thanks Louis! I`ve seen these pics before but I didn`t know they were Bob loads! ROF! Reminds me of a washer experiment on "Mythbusters" where a guy was supposed to be packing clothes in a washer with his feet and accidently turned it on! :)
