Perusing a machinery auction in Minneapolis and I ran across this. Apparently some machine shop was using it to spin machining chips to extract the coolant from them prior to recycling. Seems like a crappy way to go, having to scoop the chips out afterwards.
Odds are it will go cheap, although it would need a lot of cleaning. For about $150 or so a new variable frequency drive inverter could be bought to run the 3-phase motor AND give variable speeds.
