Dear all,

I just discovered this forum, and am so excited that it exists. I'm about to purchase a front loader and am considering the Bosch Maxx series, either the 900, 1000 or 1200. Does anyone have any opinions about this series?

I'm in Melbourne, Australia.

Thanks,

Sudsy.

Bosch Maxx

I have the Bosch Axxis+ Washer and Dryer. From the pictures they look to be very close. I am really happy with this set. Three years without a problem and my laundry has never been cleaner or softer. I really feel like these do a good job of washing as well as rinsing out all the detergent.

I'd buy another Bosch set if I was in the market for a new one.

I have a Bosch Exxcel (Maxx) washer with matching dryer downstairs; and after 2 1/2 years of heavy use (8 loads a week minimum), it has still held up - which is nice for a machine of nowadays. Noisier than either my AEG or Miele, but then it was considerably cheaper. Spin noise not ideal for those who can't stand high pitched sounds, but otherwise a very reliable workhorse. Only problem we've had after 2 1/2 years is that the Rinse Plus LED is starting to fail, but this isn't a major operational problem. Original bearings/brushes still installed without any problems as of yet (knock on wood).

IMO I'd get the 1200 or 1400rpm spin - I have a 1400rpm version and the spin results are quite good, although again can't beat teh 1600rpm I have on the other washers, but the 1400rpm considerably better than most other washers. The dryer only takes 30 minutes maximum to dry a load of towels from the 1400rpm spin.

Hope this helps,

Jon :-)
