Hello to everyone,
I have just discovered this forum and am really happy to find it.
I thought I was alone in having a bit of an interest in these things but it appears now I am not.
Sudsy,
In relation to your question on Bosch Maxx range I have owned a
Bosch Maxx 1000, for just under 2 years now and it worked quite
well until a few months ago when it broke down entirely and I have to say Bosch have the worst after sales service I have ever encountered.
I sent their office in Melbourne numerous e-mails about this machine and none of them were ever answered, several phone calls later and after a week a serviceman finally come to the house, checked it over and advised that the motor and heating element had both totally burnt out and he would have to contact Bosch to order replacement parts.
After several more days of phone calls I was finally told that Bosch did not have the parts here in Australia, and they would have to send to Germany for them/
The entire process took about 5 weeks from reporting the breakdown to final repair.
In the meantime I felt bad about imposing on our neighbours, so
in frustration I went out to the local electrical store next to where I work and bought a little N.E.C. Twin-Tub Washer, and
to tell you the truth I now find I prefer to use the T.T.in preference to the front loader as I find I can do 2 days worth of laundry in just over an hour in it.
The only problem wioth the T.T., is that it only holds 4kg load
I am not sure if you can get a large Twin-Tub in Australia anymore.
I was terribly annoyed with the Bosch as we only wash every 2nd day, and it is not as if was being ground into the dirt with overuse.
In finishing I would not give Bosch one red cent of my money ever again.
I live in Sydney Australia so hello to everyone.
