I am considering the Bosch 800 freestanding French door counter depth 36” wide model with recessed handles and wondering if anyone has experience, good or bad, with this fridge. I have seen mixed reviews on line, but don’t know how much weight to place on them. It appears that Bosch manufactures this model in China (or someone does and puts the Bosch name plate on it ). I took quick look at it in the Pacific Sales showroom and it seemed slightly more solid than the F&P model, and I don’t like the look of the LG handles that have a slight arc to them. So any thoughts/experience with this model would be much appreciated.

Best Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

Get A WP, MT or KA that are built in the US in the Amana Iowa Factory that WP got from purchasing Maytag. [ skip theses brands that WP builds in the Mexico plant, it is a more troublesome design ]

We still make the worlds best bottom freezer refs here in the US.

We have seen lots of problems with Bosch and F&P refs and almost no one will work on them so you are often on your own after warranty ends.

AND do we really need send any more money to China, they all ready have us by the B...s, maybe we should start just sending them part of are paychecks every month.

Oh boy do I agree with you about NOT sending any more money to China...

We have 1 washing machine manufacturer and its Ebac OK so a about £650 for a good model and you get a 7 year warranty and thats not to be sniffed at.

Its a pity we cannot get more billionaires to become appliance manufacturers and pay people a decent wage to make all appliances again it would save the planet too as not all and sundry goods need to cross the ocean in a bloody great ship full of containers.

Its about time we got our B***'s released out of the Chinese vice..... JMO.

Bosch is an odd one. It is 92% owned by Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, which is effectively a charity involved in wide range of social, cultural, international relations and healthcare and scientific projects.

The company itself runs commercially, but it has unusual ownership
