There is no mention of the fault/recall on the UK site.

I get the recalls because of electrical failures, especially with parts sourced externaly (like the whole door lock debacel by Hotpoint).
That happens, sucks, but sometimes fault conditions just can't be predicted.

With mechanical issues like this which sound just like basic cheaping out on a vital connection (sounds like they hint at a spider-drum connection issue) I just don't get it.
Those are pretty easy calculations to make.
That has to be an in-house part.

I am wondering whether an automated robot-controlled part of the fabrication process went awry, or whether a human assembler simply 'forgot' to perform a certain step. Or possibly, a bolt/rivet/strut might have developed metal fatigue.

I wish manufacturers were just a little more forthcoming with the fault information in the first place.

The only UK Bosch safety recalls that I can see, are the gas hobs 2009-2011, and the dishwasher one 1999-2005.
