Bosch V635 washer...

Can anyone give me more information on this washer? I'm guessing that since it has a brown fascia, that its older.

Did Bosch make it? Is it worth looking into?

Hi,

Yes, Bosch made this machine, I'd say it's an 80's model, it's a Bosch V635, most likely a 1000RPM spin, possibly 1200RPM, it's a 05KG AutoWasher (Washing Machine), dated, but will still do the job.

Unless it came with one, or a friend who's got the same model has a copy of the user booklet it CANNOT be downloaded from the Bosch website, as I tried, I had no luck & the model I was looking for was about 22 - 25 yrs old.

Hello Guy, if you`ve got the space grab it, sound like its in great order, these things are built like tanks, very heavy, it looks like its been used as a semi-integrated, as it has no worktop, also looks like the front plinth plate is on upside down or just resting againt the front..they where also sold as Siemens (Pic Below)...

Its a 900rpm machine,, and as stated mid 1980`s, variable temp from cold up to 95d, and cotton, synthetics, delicates & woollens progs

go get it and let us know all about it!!

Where does Bosch fit in, quality wise, in Europe? AEG, Miele....

Bosch was rated pretty high, and it still is.
Bosch made that Machine, and Bosch still make there own washing machines even today.

This particular machine was built like a Miele, quite heavy (you will be able to move it!), very reliable.

Here in EU, they rate quite High, above Ariston/Hotpoint, Zanussi - but Below AEG, Miele, and they are priced slightly lower than Siemens.

Absolutely right what Mat said.

Besides: Vorwerk was selling custom tailored incorporated kitchens at that time (called "Vorwerk Contempora" - while in Italy the Contempora name was handled to describe special edition electric applicances). These kitchens all had Bosch appliances in them (ranges, dishwashers etc.). So as Vorwerk lived on its own reputation of being a top brand (this coming from their HQ door-to-door vacuums) they must have put some thought into choosing Bosch for their relabeled white goods.

Vorwerk no longer sells kitchens, what remains on the market is Gaggenau (for the never-cooking and always bragging big-bucks families (marble countertops with unused Porsche-Design blenders (made by Siemens), need more?) and Nolte, Alno (formerly working together with the now obsolete AEG), then come Quelle (a former catalogue warehouse) and the cheapo kitchens (Ikea having Euro Whirlpool custom units in them made for Ikea) and Müller, Poco, Höffner and other discount kitchens (featuring Beko, AKF, Haier and (today's) Zanussi and similar plastic brands)

BSH (Bosch-Siemens-Hausgeräte = Bosch-Siemens househould units) is one group today, both produce the stuff from the same designs and constructions (they also host the formerly independent Neff brand). As far as I know, even their headquarters are in one house (Stuttgart area = Boschland, before this Siemens was Munich based).
