New in box KA

Ok who is the KA expert. My four year old bosh is having trouble (dying a

slow and painful death I have to hit it to get it started (really)I'm sure it's

the mother board ) I seem to

remember that I had this model kitchen-aid left a fine grit on the top of the

glasses. Is the KA filter system really as good as today's dishwashers?

Thanks for the advise

I have one and use it twice a week alternating with other machines. Good Cleaner. I use thr Heavy Cycle for the most part.

But the KDS 18 will still out clean a 20.

The nice thing too about KitchenAids... Is that You can wash Plastics in the Lower Racks without them Melting from the Dry Coil. This is on the 20 series and earlier models.

When we sold my mom's house 3 years ago in the kitchen was a dishwasher that looked exactly like that (had constant rinse) that I bought for her when I was a teenager. She used it perhaps 6 times when new, then used it for storage. I remember cookies in the top rack. Complaining when all the dishes were being done by hand on holidays had no effect. I could have easily removed it and put a cheapie unit in it's place. Even though I rarely use the dishwasher I think about how dumb I was not to have taken it home with me in my pickup. I'll bet the new owners had it hauled to the dump.

Heaviest DW in the industry

Did you all notice this in the spec sheet photo? ...with all this quality 125 POUNDS! I know they had a nice thick porcelain tub coating but I guess the Rolls-Royce of DW's used heavy gauge steel just like a Rolls as well. Ajer72, enjoy your brand new machine.
