Hello members!
I haven't been able to find ANY information on this potscrubber GE dishwasher. Sold in US, Is it an actual GE machine it says made in Italy!? Thanks to this awesome forum, the closest thing I found was an Australian version but unclear on a date. Any clues as to the age? Has anyone seen this unit? It had original packaging inside the machine and even the manual was still in plastic!!

Welcome!

You state "Sold in US." Are you saying that it was purchased in a brick and mortar store in the US or was it sold by a secondary dealer like an auction such as eBay? I found this available in a Latin American auction site as a Google search result. I doubt that it was made for sale in the US, especially at 240 volts since it the goal of the government to eventually mandate dishwashers that do not use any energy at all.

Hello!
This machine was made in the mid or late 80s: its design is close to that of the SMEG dishwashers made then for the Italian market (and I wouldn't be surprised if the producer of this particular machine was actually SMEG).
Some pics of the interior would be useful to confirm my hypothesis.

Not US at all

This does not look like an American dishwasher to me at all, it looks like a pretty generic Italian or Spanish built dishwasher that has been branded as GE potscrubber for somewhere like Australia where the GE brand is active. This would be supported by the 240 volt power requirement as well. I would agree with Louis, late 1980s or possibly early 1990s
