Stan,

The Spanish name for a cast iron griddle is a Comal. The one I have my husband found in the lost and found at the hotel he works at. I can't imagine why someone would have one of these at a hotel, but I'm glad they let it behind,LOL. It's really old and really well seasoned. I also have a really old 10" cast iron skillet that was left behind in an apt.that I rented in Petaluma in 1972. It's one of my most prized pans! It was very old when I acquired it 45 yrs ago, so I'm guessing its at least 60 yrs.old. Some of the best things I own were someone elses castoffs that became mine.

Now I'm confused LOL

You do have those thrift stores in Sonoma Co
One is on E Napa st. South side of the square. And one is on HWY 12 north of Sonoma Mission Inn.
Unless their both gone now?
